Description  |

For this signage proposal I designed an elliptical element that can move horizontally along an existing pedestrian footbridge which connects NYNY and the MGM Grand hotels in Las Vegas.  The existing bridge itself spans Las Vegas Boulevard at the intersection of Tropicana Avenue.

The initial concept was for the signage to visually represent the wheels of a slot machine.  The LED rods could be programmed to move the graphics vertically, or around the

panels to give the illusion of spinning graphics – like the wheels of a slot machine.

Each elliptical LED panel is 8′-0″ wide (4 in a cluster) and contains around 350 individual LED rods; giving each panel around 950 sq ft of LED signage surface.

The entire signage element is proposed for 8 – 12 panels, giving a total of 7,600 – 11,400 sq ft of LED signage.

General Notes/Panel  |

211 Extr. LED Rods = 563 sq ft/panel

145 Intr. LED Rods = 387 sq ft/panel

Each 8′ wide LED panel = 950 sq ft of programmable LED which can moves along a horizontal track.  The diagrams show 4 panels, or 3,800 sq ft of LED signage.
