Description |
This conceptual rendering is a bit different than my other personal projects. I wanted to make this one more of a “real” space while still exploring my conceptual ideas of memory, origin, and movement.
Saturn’s Return occurs when the planet Saturn, returns to the same place in the sky that it occupied at the moment of a person’s birth. I wanted to represent this as a “walk down memory lane.” Or someone (Saturn)
returning books (memories) in a library/archive area.
I spent a great deal of time refining the many details making sure the design worked from a practical point of view.
The glass canopy and overall warm-orangish tone are the two most literal design choices I made. Even if it is too literal, I do not mind the canopy representing the rings of Saturn.
The entire image/concept/design was done by me – enjoy!
| Final Image
Saturn’s Return as a conceptual rendering used to test new ideas and forms – a design exercise. The image was designed around basic ideas of memory, origin, and movement.
The image was created mostly in 3ds Max along with some post-production/color-correction in Photoshop.
